So now the devs have turned on the >2GB flag by default. Time to add the /3GB switch to your WinXP boot.ini

I quote evrey single letter of what you wrote!
I bought X3TC on Steam because it is supposed to be more pratical, but now it turns out I have to wait for the Steam guys to go back to work and they give me the possibility to upgrade. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional: this is my last game I buy from Steam as well.

About the only thing I want to know is whether it is still a slide show during combat (with Graphics setting to lowest) on my souped-up game rig.
The fix list says that the patrol missions were rebalanced and this is about the only situation I was getting a sideshow. I use a 3yo PC with NV 7800/512Gb/pre-dualcore intel and an XPS laptop with NV 7400, not quite "souped-up game rigs"
Both work just fine on minimal settings.

I see no mention of a fix for the lack of available boarding pods. Or is that a feature rather than a bug?

@bulletstop:
You can't, because the 1.3 patch changed the EXE file.
Sorry. I have Steam too, and will have to wait for that before I can update my Steam. Luckily, I also have the DVD version.

Because I have the Steam version. I don't think it's updated yet.

How interesting.
I gave it a test run, checking out something, and when I quit - my desktop was there! Complete and functional, instead of the slideshow it used to be after quitting TC. Nice one

Is this patch compatible with my current saves? I'm at the moment doing the Terran, Final Fury, Goner and the Hub missions and I'm wondering if it will drastically affect it in anyway. I'm not ready to restart the game as yet.

The only note they show is that it is not compatable with the Steam version. Ego normally goes WAY out of their way to be certain that a patch is compatable up the chain... no loss of mega complex time invested
What I really want to know is if the UT stuff has been fixed so that my UT's stop taking extended union coffee breaks all the time.

Would like to know that myself - only a few hours away from completing the final phase of the mission, so if they've changed the quantities required think I might wait until the Hub mission is finished before installing the patch - purely for the personal satisfaction of having completed the original version of the mission. If however the amounts are unchanged I can install the patch now.

Experiencing a huge performance increase, and as another poster mentioned, when exiting the game I don't experience huge slowdown either
So far, X3:TC is looking up somewhat.
Lead me not into temptation,
For I can find the way myself!

This is so cruel. Why can't they wait for the steam update before announcing the regular patch.
Anyways, anyone seeing a change with the hub mission?
