This plot line is becomeing highly annoying......

I'm Argon federation marshal and still get shot at in M148. The bridge mission in OL diesn't exist at all. Exterminator is there but offers nothing beyond the generic comm options. Guess the Terran plot is over for me. :(

That's weird. What kind of start did you use?

Thanks delray, I will update that part of the guide :)

- Kill the smuggler in Tears of Greed. His escorts will attack you, and for that foolishness they should die also.

Just a note. If you use any wingman in the inital attack (and sometimes any part of the attack) of the freighter, the whole sector goes against you. Consider docking them for this attack, or making sure they attack AFTER the escorting ships go red.

Also, you can't attack the escorts first. They ignore you, and as a result will call police. You must hit the freighter first, then the rest will turn red.

Did you raise your rep with the Split ? and very little Split rep is needed for the Exterminator to give the mission..

Nice walkthrough, very useful :-).

One thing I found was that it was nigh on impossible to dock at Aldrin Energy Production Facility LX Epsilon the "regular" way. I think the automatic docking gets confused by the bloody great big piece of rock that is Aldrin. I had to jump out, buy a docking computer, and jump back in again......

One question, how do I get the Claymore you're rewarded with out of the Torus?

It gets blown up every time.....

Any ship of yours in Earth while OOS will get blown up. YOU have Earth Access, your ships apparently don't.

Just be in sector, and it will be fine.

No, Earth sector has a "safe-line" and the autopilot doesn't respect that I guess :/

It won't. If you command the Claymore to fly out of the sector, it'll fly out of its docking bay and just blithely cruise straight past the accelerator out into the region where the Torus guns will toast it. The only way I could find to get it out was to command the ship I'd arrived in (Vidar) to jump to Asteroid Belt, then fly the Claymore out manually myself.

I thought about this later and considered the jump drive angle (though I was going to jump the Claymore out). I'm going to try to tell it to "follow" me and see if that works first though.

EDIT: Follow doesn't work. Jumping is what it will have to be.....

I've got a question on the part "cap the vidar".. I am using my marines in the TP that the mission gives, and 6 times out of 6 they got to the last stage, and at the very end they fail to hack the ship control..
I'm sort of wondering, is that normal, and perhaps I had to train up those things?

You don't actually have to capture it. Eventually they'll just give you the ship anyway.

hi all,

Thanks for the guide, but I seem to have run into a different issue. I completed mission 6 (eventually) and gave the Split captive over to the Terrans for interrogation. They said it might take a while, so I sold the Cutlass, went back to my main ship and wandered off to do other things. This was a very long time ago and I haven't heard anything from the Terrans since then, is there anything I have to do to unlock the final mission?

Remember that split TS you captured? Don't sell it, or allow it to be destroyed, untill after you droped off the Split captive. For some strange reason you need to have that ship in your property list for the mission to end correctly at the moon.

:( Oh man, I sold that ages ago... I don't remember if I sold it after dropping off the captive or before (I think it was after, because I'd already been caught a couple of times selling the stupid thing too early) but there's no way I'm going to rollback that far just to try it again. Oh well, maybe if I do a second playthrough I'll have another go, thanks for your help!

Thanks for the walkthrough.

Regarding mission six.

I failed this mission 4 times at the point where you have to scan the Eliphant. I had 3 * 25 MJ shields and had repaired the transporter to 100%. When told to escape after you've scanned the Eli I lasted about 5 seconds before dying.

My solution - equip Caiman with a transporter and jump away. 5 seconds was easily enough time to escape.

I succeeded 3 times doing this only to have the last sector appear empty when told to help the fleet.

Only way round this was to do whole mission in my Skiron (except for scanning Eliphant).

This worked despite my accidentaly firing on the Eliphant while fighting off 2 Khaak Clusters. The Eli turns red and launched it's deca's which I killed.

I then scanned the Eli with no problem and no extra deca's.

When delivering pilot to the Moon my mission completed first time.

Thanks again

I just had my Perseus follow my Caiman. When they allowed me to get out of ****** Caiman, I simply clicked my Perseus and pressed "X" (Perseus has Transporter Device so he can move you to himself without trouble). Then I killed all the enemies and lived happily ever after...
