Description:
  • Complete universe map for X3 Terran Conflict. All sectors including not connected ones. Shipyards, Equipment Docks, Pirate Bases and Corporate Headquarters are marked with their own icon so they get spotted easily. All sectors are marked with their own Security level (Border / Core) and its coordinates on the map, besides the owner of course.

Specifications:
  • Full size version in PDF format with with no compression (exported vector graphics) - 2m x 1m (yes meters :D )
    You can resize it to whatever paper size you like, down to A3 should be no problem.
    Scaling to a bigger size can be done up to some point (3x), if you exaggerate you also will get a loss in quality, like distorted text and similar.

@The Boz
Glad you like it.

@Black Gryphon
Just checked all links using FireFox 3 and IE 7, all good.

As a reminder you can right-click on the links an use the option "Save destination as..." to avoid it opening in your browser.

I get 'file damaged' on save target as for the A4 version (IE7, reader 8.1.2). Opening it via IE seems okay though.

Wow, excellent work, I was able to download the high res full map no problem. Thankfully we have a couple 36 inch plotters at work!

Yes when opening in other Editing Programs you might get that message due to the files being Secured. :wink:

Anyway, you wont get much to edit as its a compressed JPG file converted to PDF.

Other then that the file "should" be working OK, if you cannot open it with Acrobat 6 or higher please try downloading it again, as it might have got corrupted during download.

Hi and thanks for that really nice work !
As I have a 63" plasma display on the wall behind my computer desktop,
I was wondering if you could provide us with a high-resolution PNG file ?

I would just love to see that cool map by only looking above my playing screen..... ^^

Thanks anyways for your awesome work.

No need for that actually, just download the Full High-Res. version.
Then open it using Acrobat and choose File-> Save as...
In the pop-up window, at the bottom choose the file format that suits you best.
From the top of my head, JPG, PNG, TIF and other file formats should be possible.
Just click save now and there you have you file in the wanted format.

:)

Thanks for this. I have a question about the pirate bases - I could not find them where i looked (Ore belt, Atreus cloud, rhonkar's clouds), even though i used a discoverer with tri on a 100km sector map command (!).

I found one in priests pity, but it was destroyed in front of me by the paranids.

I asked about this (http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=217786), and the one response claimed that pirate bases respawn randomly. Is it even possible to put them on the map like you have done here?

Do you speak German? If so, this may be a little more legible for you.

Sorry for small size print you will have to find another one, like the one on Seizewell as already pointed.

Well the pirate Bases in the map, are marked as they are at the beginning of the game. If they get shot down they may spawn in a different spot. They also may spawn at the same location, but in either case it will take some time.

The one in Ore Belt, may still be there, its quite far out the sector, way up north past the north gate (like in Reunion or X2, or X-Btf for that matter).

Pirate Bases don't get shot that easily, unless they are in the path of some patrols. Anyway, its just intended to show where they are at the start, not much I can do here I'm afraid.

Change log:
  • Version 1.1 - Sector "Veil of Delusion" owner changed to Pirate (thanks to panavia for pointing)
Also removed compression for the Full size version, which leads to a quality improvement. When scaling from that version there should no longer be a quality loss issue, not a lot anyway. Down-scaling to A3 should be possible within acceptable quality.

Nice map and all but i've been unable to e-mqil it to my printer at work because the file is too big. (The 32mb file)

Any way i can get hold of a smaller file as you cant split it up and sent it in chunks.
