slave trade

ok, i got myself a ship fitted to transport people and i thought i would put it to good use hauling slaves or workers or something but i am not sure how to do this.
where do i buy and sell slaves?
how do i transport workers? do i need to be flying or can i just command it?
any help would be great!

Slaves as far as i know u getting by capturing enemy ships
and when the pilot bail you capture the pilot.

To transport other civilians you have to do the BBS missions

I've never seen a quantity of slaves for sale at a pirate station (always 0), they only ever buy, and these you get from capping. And obviously you may find that difficult in a TP. Equip your fighter with a cargo bay lifesupport system, and then scoop up any astronoughts that have bailed!

Can you sell passenger you pick up as slaves?

I dunno about X3, but in X2 I belive that if you accept a Tour of a lifetime/Another ride to nowhere mission, and then dock at a pirate station, the passengers where transformed into slaves. Haven't tried it in X3 yet.. feels a bit too cruel to me :D

its just not profitable enough for it to be worth doing. slaves should be worth much more credits. i think they should of put prison stations into the game and if you have a police licence you can capture the pirates that bail out and take their ass to jail.... all for a nice reward of couse :D

This can be done with a script.

e.g.

Create X stations in random sectors named <race> Prison Relay Station

When capping ships:

if Pirates race ship: on bail, remove Astronaut, put in <race> Pirate
when Pirate Astronaut collected, create Captured <race> Pirate in inventory

Captured <race> Pirate can only be sold at Prison Relay Station, extra reward if the pirate race is the same race of the PRS.

Or something like that.
