Khourieat wrote:Hello, this program has been a great find, however, after using it on Vista for awhile the drop down menus stop working, not sure what is up with it, does anyone have any ideas?

When I first installed it, it worked great, but now once I pick something using the drop down menu (say, a race), all other drop down arrows dissappear. If I save that, close it and reload it, then I can pick one menu item again (say, the type of factory) and once again everything breaks.

I've seen the other calculators, this one was my favorite though :P being able to keep track of partial complexes and such. The online one I can't seem to save them, so it'd be great if I could get this working, if possible :P

Edit: nevermind, after days of not working properly it decided to work again :?

Sorries!
I am having the same issues except with Windows 7 64bit version now. I have tried compatability mode with XP and Vista to no avail.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks for the recent feedback.

Was thinking : if I reply to this does it imply I'm going to try & fix win64 issues?

Don't have 64 on my PC & so that could be difficult.

So probably best to say that at some point this is likely to be re-written
to include TC (and win64 compatiblity) - most likely when the TC Bonus Pack bursts onto the scene.

In the mean-time, for TC or win64, it's best to use one of the the other
complex calculators linked in the Guides sticky (online or stand-alone).

Running Factory Complex Calculator in Win2000 compatibility worked for me.
Also using 64bit Win7. You can try different older Windows modes.
Right click on .exe file/ properties/ compatibility mode and choose mode.

Interesting timing for this to re-emerge from the deep depths.

Just got around to upgrading to Win7 64 bit & seeing the same probs. (disappearing buttons etc).

Mind you I can't see many being interested in this old util,
I mean who plays X3 these days ?

I do for one, and just built my first complex....

Mind you it only contains 2 stations thus far and yet I am still somewhat lost as to the apparent lack of profitability. I assume that I need to add more low level factories to produce my end product.

A working calculator would be a god-send.

Fingers crossed this is still a work in progress.
