Hi Catra,

The view is this guide is too light to add to the stickies. It needs more detail fleshed out if you want to have it included. The alternative is to contact one of the guide compilation authors to have it included in their next update.

Try reading your guide as if you know nothing about the game i.e. if you were a beginner starting the game for the first time. From that perspective you need to explain more about the process and steps that are gone through.
A very good example of a good level of detail is the video guides by daviddowner.

Time has come to ask for inclusion of my Complete List of Ship Sources (for the second time

). While the heavily scripted spreadsheet attached may contain couple of bugs, I find that most people will just check the post for the ship they need, follow the hyperlinks included and don't care about spreadsheet. Therefore, submitting the list itself as the guide, being the spreadsheet an extra feature.

I'm not very good with thread names so something more appealing like Where to get any ship you might think of or something might work too, I'm open to suggestions on that matter.

There's an overwhelming amount of information available here for X2 and X3. However, i'm completely new to the X-universe and i want to play it from the beginning. So i installed X:BTF. Problem is there's almost no info about the first game here. I read the manual and the short walkthrough that came with the Steam version. They contain a bit of info but are far from thorough guides.

I'm looking to find my own guides, but in the meantime, does anyone know where to find a good beginner's guide (to X:BTF) that explains in detail the different aspects of the game? And i don't mean the argonopedia, that's an information database, not a guide that explains how to do stuff.

The two guides by Gandalf the White for X-Tension cover BTF as well, have you tried those? Although most people who started back with X-BTF *liked* that feeling of having to discover all this stuff for themselves, I think...

It's okay now, it was just frustrating when i couldn't figure out the details of trading. I still haven't discovered everything about it, but at least i'm making a few million credits now instead of struggling to make a few 10k's at the time i posted

Now if i can just find that damned asteroid in Chin's Clouds for the quest >_<
