Is hull damage and shield damage per shot or per minute or per second or what ? Looks like per second. And energy looks like per shot. Is it so ?

Could be. But do the type of the values really matter as long as one just compares two weapons? It does matter, when you compare it against ship laser energy and shield value.

Those values come from two different resource files. The damage values are not part of the weapon, but the bullet. A weapon uses a specific bullet. Thus the relation. There is more about the bullet not shown here, speed and lifetime. These combined would give the range. I would say that the range of the weapon would be a nice stat to see in that table.

OK, digged up my calculator and added the energy per minute.

I'l ask my friend to get me the speed + lifetime numbers, no ETA though.

EDIT: those are the median damage per second numbers.

I'm still a bit low on observations, but I'm pretty sure this is how the production rate of mines is determined. The LordSuch's SectorPlanner for X2 probably has the most practical equation within.

I have a list of every item sold at Trading docks/EQ docks, how much their sold for and how much can be stocked.

Surprisingly useful when planning big trade runs.

Tis also print friendly, although might be a wee bit heavy on the colour ink. But all the info will fit onto one A4 page.

I mean .. if the weapon table shows damage per shot, then PBEs are really good. If you computer damager per minute and consumed energy per minute to get damage/energy ratio (per minute) PBEs are like 1000 times better then anything else. I don't have such experience from the game.
Example:

BPPC 89 shots per minute, table shows 20503 shield damage
BPBE 1154 shots per minute, talbe shows 18175 shield damage

If the damage was per shot, you would get like 10 times bigger damages per minut with BPBE then with BPPC. This is not true.
This is why I think the damages are per minute too. I made little XLS with some other calculations. Check it here:

Nothing realy...

This is one of my favourite hobbies ever since I created My first X2 guide list.

Though, it would be a lot less work for me if everyone PMed their guides when they make it, would save me a lot of work.

Most of the peeps do it by now though.

indio68, please check the dates of threads before you post in ones you've found via searches. This one is old and very out of date, superseded by the Ultimate Guides sticky at the top of this forum. So this one heads into the abyss.
