Any way to auto-transfer resources from a station?
I ended up with around 2 million Meatsteaks in a PBC XXL factory. I want to move the factory to a new sector but have to unload the food first. Since Meatsteaks are a resource, they don't seem to show up in most automated trade scripts. Any commands that will let me automate moving a resource to a different factory?

Trade Distribution should work, it doesn't?

I checked again and it appears Trade Distribution will only let you load a 'product' (PBC) from a station. Resources (Meatsteaks, energy etc) don't show up as a load option. If I built it into a complex with a Meatsteak Bakery, maybe I could set Meatsteaks as 'tradeable', but I hate to do all that just to unload a station's inventory.

I have an idea. I've never used it before, but there's a function in Trade Distribution known as Replace. It lets you swap one station for another. I think it can be made to work like this:
Add Meatsteaks as Product on a Dock, like your Hub station.
Set a TD instruction to Load Meatsteaks from the Hub.
Replace the Hub with the Factory station you want to empty.
If the instruction remains valid, it should work.

You are a genius sir! It seems to work perfectly.Jimmy C wrote: ↑Sun, 18. Sep 22, 04:49I have an idea. I've never used it before, but there's a function in Trade Distribution known as Replace. It lets you swap one station for another. I think it can be made to work like this:

To put the problem you solved into perspective, the Atmospheric Lifter has a cargo of 80,000, meaning it can hold 20,000 Meatsteaks. That's 100 trips to manually empty the factory, and I still had to find some place that can hold 2Mil. Metsteaks - I seriously considered self-destructing the factory.

Re: Any way to auto-transfer resources from a station?
Does anybody know why those trade runs stop at some point?
Should there not be an option to 'repeat' the runs?
EDIT: I think that when attacked by enemy fire, they stop or 'forget' what they were doing, but I have no proof of that.

Pretty sure the only time I've seen Trade Distribution stop is when I added factories to the ship's homebase. It seems to call all homebased ships back and stop their scripts. It was the same in Albion Prelude.
You can resume them easily by going back into the Trade Distribution command and selecting 'load previous run', then 'start'.

True, but I think when they were attacked they 'lost it' I guess....Hwitvlf wrote: ↑Mon, 28.
