(6.0 b1)Protect Miner missions now too hard?

Is it intended for those Protect/Escort miner missions to be impossible to do solo now?
If so maybe not be payed low 250k for it, since I will need escorts that could get killed?

For brevity sake here is a save, can any of you Devs finish this mission solo in this Nemesis??? :D XenonSlayer? (KhaakSlayer in this situation).

Basically spawn rate is too high. And I refuse to think that im bad at shooting :lol:

I believe I got the same problem with the miner escort mission. It's now not worth the time to do it, as the target dies in just a few minutes. It is just a beta however, and the devs may tone it down a little bit.

Same here. The flights of xenon are non-stop and you are unable in a single ship to destroy an entire flight before the next flight arrives and starts shooting, and then the next are already attacking the miner, and it turns into a game of attrition that you just can't win.

After failing and learning,
I can do it with fighter squads.(4 x 3) .. One with me following the miner, the others assigned to intercept.

It s more realistic but the prize should be higher?

in general i noticed the 6.0 is harder than 5.0. mostly because now i cannot dodge bullets using strafe/roll. i wasn't able to escape run them as well when they are faster than my ship. meaning i lost a save there lol

i don't mind this being intended and moved to general to discuss but maybe the spawn rate is buged so until some confirmation we don't know

I would be very happy if some dev actually tried this mission and reported yep im dead hehehe

I really enjoy the actual design. You need to manage 3 or 4 fighter squads. I like to explore collect theses missions. So i can practice small fighters battles.

Maybe as suggestion, provide difficulty ?
Easy : xx spawn rate and yy khaaks fkeet, basic reward
Medium : more spawn rate etc,
Hard : moore.. Better rewards....
Very hard...
Really very hard :)

For a 200k mission reward, you'd risk losing 3x the worth of a squadron of ships. It's a negative sum game!!!!

exactly, even if I don't lose any ships its not worth it getting a squadron of ships for them
totally worthless mission if I lose a ship

Same for me. I like that you made it harder but now it's overshoot. As long as you can't trigger them to attack you instead of the miner, the odds are against you. So if you could add some trigger again like 'attacking the leader -> all small ships attack you', it would help a lot.

Im actually more convinced now its a spawn rate bug, since I got myself Odyssey I went and took another mission, its actually doable now :lol: , but after idk maybe 10 waves of khaak they completely stopped spawning, the miner ship had another 10,15 minutes of flying until he docked, zero khaak.

The save is in the middle of spawning khaak and shortly after they will completely stop coming.

I have observed the same. Previously, i was able to do the ~100K escort mission easyly with a basic Nemesis or a good S fighter.

Now it is just impossible. Even with a spare Nemesis and a couple of S ship...

Every 10 second a new wave come. There is so much Khaack that i can't destroy them before the miner ship is destroyed. In the past, the waves were spaced by something like 30 seconds or more.

Also, some time i have waves with 6 Khaack what i was used to see previously on the upper rewarded mission (where you have an existing M escort).

Let me know if you need a save. But the issue happen on each mission.

Sounds like we are on the right track bringing the Kha'ak back old strenght :) In X² and X³ it was suicide to take on a cluster with a measly S ship / fighter and a challenge with an M ship. They were not accidentily named a threat - and annihilated Trantor in a quick attack.

Unfortunately, this discussion has fallen into oblivion. I agree with Buzz2005. This mission is just buggy and belongs in the Public Beta Feedback Forum. After several high-frequency unsuccessful waves of attacks, further Kha'ak attacks remain absent on the rest of the route. I can't imagine anyone playing this mission on this level of difficulty with this low yield. If I have the opportunity to play with squadrons or cruisers, I'm no longer interested in 200,000 credit missions, then I destroy stations for 20 million credits or deliver fleets of a similar level to the factions. This mission with such effort, deploying multiple squadrons of fighters would only make sense with a similar gain. However, 20 million credits for the protection of an M-Miner do not seem sensible to me either.

Leider ist diese Diskussion etwas in Vergessenheit geraten. Ich bin der gleichen Meinung wie Buzz2005. Diese Mission ist einfach nur verbugt und gehört ins Public Beta Feedback Forum. Nach einigen hochfrequenten erfolglosen Angriffswellen bleiben auf dem Rest der Strecke weiter Kha'ak Angriffe aus. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen das bei diesem Schwierigkeitsgrad mit diesem geringen Ertrag jemand diese Mission spielt. Habe ich die Möglichkeit mit Staffeln oder Kreuzern zu spielen, interessieren mich 200000 Credit Missionen nicht mehr, dann Zerstöre ich Stationen für 20 Mio. Credit oder liefere den Fraktionen Flotten in einem ählichem Niveau. Diese Mission mit solchen Aufwand, mehrere Jägerstaffeln einzusetzen würde nur mit einem änlichen Gewinn sinnvoll sein. Jedoch scheinen mir 20 Mio. Credits für den Schutz eines M-Miners auch nicht sinnvoll.

did anyone try those missions in beta 4 cause it seems that its back to previous spawn times and its doable again, didn't want to post yet until i do a couple more but then why not ask?

ego devs, did you maybe change it and didn't mention it?

No, the spawn time is unchanged. But mostly easy missions between 100000 and 200000 credits are offered. However, it takes luck or the support of the sector forces to bring a mining ship home with an M-class ship.

Nein, die Spawn Time ist unveränderet. Es werden aber überwiegend leichte Missionen zwischen 100000 bis 200000 Credits angeboten. Trotzdem benötigt man Glück oder Unterstüzung durch die Sektorstreitkräfte um ein Bergbauschiff mit einem M-Klasse Schiff nach Hause zu bringen.

Also under Version: 6.00 Beta 5 the span time is not correct. I also noticed that this applies to the "Protect a Transporter" mission as well. Within the first (approx. 5) minutes, 4 PGS M and 2 PGS L ships attacked. Much of the rest of the trip (about 20-25 minutes) passed without further incident. The whole thing for about 250000 credits. Who should play such missions?

Auch unter Version: 6.00 Beta 5 stimmt die Spantime nicht. Weiterhin habe ich bemerkt, dass dies für die Missionen "Beschütze einen Transporter" auch zu trifft. Innerhalb der ersten (ca. 5) Minuten erfolgten Angriffe von 4 PGS M und 2 PGS L-Schiffen. Der große Rest der Reise (ca. 20-25 Minuten) verlief ohne weitere Zwischenfälle. Das Ganze für ca. 250000 Credits. Wer soll solche Missionen denn spielen?
