There is no real benefit, loose files simple do not work on some OSs like linux or Win 7

1st is not an error, just formatting check, i still fixed it and pushed new version
2st about centaur is not an error either, its more a notification to artists to check if that is what they intended to do. In vanilla all M shields on L ships are grouped to turrets etc, but in VRO new frigates use M shields instead of L as main hull generators, so its expected, there is no impact on the game.

Thanks for packed version, I grabbed it yesterday and loaded it up with the cheat menu mod. I then went into HOP space and watched the fight there for 30+ minutes with no crashes . Going to keep testing it, buy some ships and shoot diff guns, see if I can get it to crash, but perhaps one of the aforementioned bugs others reported, was the cause.

Trying this mod, pure vanilla otherwise, cannot upgrade/equip, buy ships etc from in ship menu,, also cannot equip my ship from map or station. Never got any further to test on other ships... Using in ship menu all I get is picture of ship no details. Tested with beta 3.0 before and after very latest small update.... Plus New game.

What you describe is some problem with how you installed it. with 3.0 you should use 2.0 version from github and be sure to follow instructions on first page (renaming folder etc). Also, it wont work like that with Win7 and lower or with Linux, you will need packed version a few posts up.birdtable wrote: ↑Sat, 22. Also, note that while itll work alone I recommend to use Mysterials faction enhancer and no highways mod for full experience.

First save with the mod. Wow so much better then vanilla! Why cant egosoft do combat this good?
I really like the faster projectiles and ship changes especially. Combat feels more visceral and dangerous now. Also love the throwback to x3 weapons and effects. Hearing the photon pulse cannon sound in x4 really made my day.
What loadout do you guys prefer for anti fighter on a M size turret ? I built a centaur L frigate and put mostly flak turrets on the non frontal turret mounts. However it appears the aoe flak damage isnt able to hit the xenon Ns because they are so fast. Im watching my centaur shoot streams of flak at the N but it is able to out run the projectiles. Should I use ciws or whatever it's called instead ?
Also what is your guys preferred fighter loadout ? For IS combat I'm finding the good old pac to be very reliable and relatively cheap for throwaway fighters.

A few days ago I had some update of the game, after which when using the mod, in a few minutes, i got freeze of game.
I'm not sure if this is specifically related to the update or if it's a conflict with another mod. However, when i disable mod, problem disappears.

Are you using 2.0 version? (if not then you should) You said you disabled it, like, in ongoing save? its impossible to do with 2.0 version
When did you download last version form github?
Are you in Windows or Linux?
Anyone have same issue?

hm, not sure really, I am also not familiar with all the mods you have installed, but i did not change anything in last week or so, so it must be beta 7. When your game freezes is it also new game or old save? Did you use VRO before without problem?

Playing beta 7 with vro and focw and few other mods. Havnt had any problem or notice any issues aside from being new bugs introduced with b7.
