Hehe okay man, cool :)

Just got the jumpgates to work on my end. Was gonna see how superhighways and multisector clusters work. I forsee massive headaches creating highways lol. Yeah I know, started out as an experiment for me too, creating the galaxy was suprisingly easy, would’ve give up on it otherwise lol ^^ best of luck though! Looking forward to see how your mod turns out!

I've added the full galaxy implementation to the develop repository. All the connections are in so you could technically fly all around the galaxy.

Some notes of warning

- This is experimental phase !
- You can't use both mods together it's either x3galaxy or x3galaxyFull
- The race distribution is completely unbalanced and sometimes just put there to fill a spot
- Only the top left has balanced shipyard, warf, trade , equipment dock placements
- The jobs are not altered and "balanced" for a way smaller galaxy
- This is prob not ready to be used for a full playthrough just to have some explore fun
- I'm still going to finish x3galaxy before I will touch this one ... matter of fact, I think this full one will need a full community effort
- The map is LAGGY as hell if you have all sectors explored, prepare to see fps drop in the low 10's when dragging the map

Small bugfix pushed to develop

- There were no datavaults, they are directly linked to signal sources. Once you opened one signal source the log was filled with errors

I've played my mod for three hours today without my debug mods. It works but I feel it's missing action. Also I'm not sure why but it doesn't seem faction missions spawn and I'm looking into it but can't figure it out yet why they wouldn't. There are no errors in the log and the generic missions work just fine.

Something to do with them being tied to reputation to unlock somehow? Not sure how the map even changes that if at all.

So as a heads up, I've decided to create my own custom galaxy using your tool, with the idea of creating a specific scenario on which I will have more info later if it's successful. I have been able to get the universe in the map, but all the sectors don't have backdrops and are just black space! :( Any idea what I might be missing?

Try changing all

"backdrop": "empty_space", to "backdrop": "Cluster01",

That should do the trick for you

Nice one. I changed it to cluster_01 and it worked, I assume this is referencing assets\environments\cluster ?

Yes it is, you can use any of those backdrops or create your own. A backdrop is a composition of assets it's not to hard to understand, but it is to make one from scratch. I just edit the existing once to what I kinda need

I pushed an update to develop after playing the mod myself for a while

- Xenon vs Argon wars missions where not appearing, this is because there has to be a xenon sector next to an argon one to be a warfront for it all to kick off. One of those silly Egosoft rules. So I had to be creative and moved a cluster and added a few to make a Xenon border territory. The same counted for the war between holy and paranid. So I moved a holy zone close to paranid. Menaleus frontier is also no longer a danger zone.

- The Antigone trade missions didn't kick off either. This because you need an equipment dock as factionHQ, this has been corrected but not completly tested yet

I'm currently helping with a map editor that will use my JSON as a bridge to create galaxies. I'm going to use this one to balance out all the jobs as well. It's still very early and I'm not working on it alone. Once we have something substantial we'll share it with the community.

Pushed a small feature

- When you switched zones , you got a message you switched but then there was an error in the log that the right voiceover couldn't be found. Logical since they are not there certainly not for most of the sectors and the new once. I fixed the error and replaced it with a text message you'll see fe: Entering: The Hole

I did make 2 star systems for x3 rebirth, took some time but how much of that code would apply here?

Your welcome, keep in mind I'm not sure how balanced it all is and if all the wars are behaving as they should. Hard to test all that stuff solo

I have honestly no idea. I should actually update all the Y values of the full galaxy json. Since I fixed the bug in 1.2.1 of the generator I haven't regenerated the full galaxy. They shouldn't be too much bigger, considering the jobs.xml and god.xml files aren't updated. So they would be in line with a smaller galaxy. Maybe if you would triple or quadruple all the quota's you would end up with a rather big save. I haven't tried it yet have been to busy working on the map editor

Have been playing this all day and one thing I use is the increased travel speed mod and it feels normal using this mod as I get speeds up to 15000 ms in travel mode. I imagine in normal travel mode this would be tedious, I also noticed it is very difficult to locate certain factories as there just so spread apart so your miners have a hard time trying to sell wares.
