[v5.10] Quest Bugged - By Invitation Only

I picked up the next phase of the Hatikvah quest line. Part 1 is to follow the ship and then go back and to Dal. Dal then tells you get lodestone before you go meet the Lt. for SCP.

1) I had (1) Lodestone in my inventory already
2) It still said "Acquire Lodestone"
3) I farmed one and Dal came on and spoke to be briefly - something about we'll be done before we know it
4) I farmed 4 more until I had 6 and it still said to 'acquire' more - tried dropping and picking back up.
4) Went ahead and spent those to get back to 0.
5) Saved, reloaded, said 'acquire' which makes sense as I now have 0.
6) I farmed 1... no change.. 2.. no change.. up to 11 farmed in my inventory at once. No change.
7) Tried.. drop.. save.. reload.. pick up.. no change.. still says "acquire"
8) Went to the SCP station and nothing triggered.

If I look in my save file, here are the parts that I think are relevant to this quest but I am unsure how to modify them so that I don't corrupt things. I tried a few variations and ended up losing all my quests in the main tab.

This is the entry of the mission in my mission log:

This is the questline further down in the save file. Notice it shows docking at scale plate as complete yet the overall quest still has me at acquire lodestone.

Could I get some guidance on how to edit this file to proceed or help with a fix in the next patch? This stops my Terran progression as well.

I am running current patch-set + all DLCs.

Guidance on save editing is for the S&M forum. This one is for reporting vanilla game issues along with supporting repro information so that the devs can hopefully fix the issue for the next release version. Your best bet now that you have described the issue here is to upload and link the vanilla save showing the issue.

I do know from personal experience of this that the mission problem may be worked around if you go and collect the lodestones from broken asteroids *after* being prompted even if having several in your inventory or storage.

Some previous if outdated version comment.

Thanks Alan. Yep, I had seen that thread and a few reddit ones so I have collected a total of 16 of them since being prompted, once with 1 already in my inventory (collected 5).. and once from an empty inventory (collected 11). I've tried combinations of dropping them.. saving.. loading.. picking back up (after being told to acquire lodestones in the lower left corner) with no success. The save file looks like it has flagged the pick up step as "waiting" but has also flagged the step after it as "completed". It also looks like this issue was known already since there is a section in between those two that is labeled "PATCH_Pt5_Retrigger_Gather_Items_End" which implies they cause it to check twice and that has the state of "cancel".

All of that combined tells me that my save gave both thinks I havent done it yet and thinks I have completed it.. so it will never finish now and thus stops me from completing that questline.. and the follow-up split/paranid ones.. and the terran one since its on hold until this first part (before split/paranid) is done.

Link the save and the devs may take a look - if it is vanilla or mainly so.
