1.31 BUG Game engine runs perfectly but no menus, nothing to click. - Possible workaround

Version and language - 1.31 English
Not modified - fresh install on fresh system

I have strange problem. I installed game and at first it ran smoothly. I was able to fly ship and all that stuff. I closed the game and on next day I started X4 and after egosoft intro and loading screen there was only fully rendered background of landing pads and flying ship but with no menus. I removed copy of game (via steam) and downloaded it again (with deleting all config files and deleting all dll entries). I have same issue - no menus. Only properly rendered background of landing pads (which means that game is not freezed) and nothing to click to.

My specs are: I5 3,4 Ghz overlocked (fully stable) to 4,2Ghz, 16gb ram, Radeon R9 290 with newest drivers + vulkan. All things in system are fresh and up to date.

I HAVE FOUND a solution - there is problem with language. If you change language via steam to german, run the game and switch back to english - everything starts to work again.

Don't remove this thread - I've heard that many people had this issue - it might help them.

It sounds as though your language choice in your game profile (or the profile itself) had become corrupt or was not being recognised until you 'rebooted' it. I'll mention this to the devs and maybe put a note about it in the 'Known Issues' Sticky.

BTW: Your DxDiag link is another copy of Vulkaninfo.
