It is very frustrating getting reputation lost notifications and not having the ability to find out what happened.
Did my fleet accidently kill a friendly drone? Did my trader escorts take down a pirate while the pirate had faction cover active?* I don't know and have no useful information to help find this incident.
I could search the entire map for a relivant wreckage near my ships, but it could be a drone or surface element my fleet accidently destroyed too. We have almost no way to know what was destroyed.
Please add the "Show location on map" function to the Unauthorized Kill notifications. This would help so much to diagnose what happened.
*Pirates reactivating cover while in sensor range of player ships, escorts, and sector security is also really annoying. At the very least they should have some mechanic to prevent them from going back under cover while they are still hostile and/or in sensor range of the ship they are trying to hijack.

Yes, a repeatedly requested feature, including rules about remasking pirates.
A dog has a master; a cat has domestic staff.

A number of log entries are missing "Show location" that should really have it. Pirate harassment is another - you have to manually check the sector for the ship in question every single time because there's no "Show on map" option.

That would be a great feature in addition to a general improvement in the Friendly FIre system overall. I should be able to set up rules for responding to friendly fire (received and given)... things like "apologize and cease fire, apologize and run away, ask for apology (and only attack if the other faction is being an ass), demand 'accidental' attacker exit sector (for owned sectors), etc... Would give us a lot more options for dealing with friendly fire other than manually intervening or dealing with reputation loss needlessly.
