Request: Surface Element Color Matching

Just a nitpicky suggestion on my part: surface elements and weapons should adopt coloration based on the paint scheme of the ship they're on.

(Top left to bottom right) Split, Teladi, Paranid, and Terran M pulse turrets on a Cobra. The turret bases do not match the Cobra's paint job (Foundation Green). Even the Split turret uses the "default" red hull coloring.

Same situation with shield and engine modules.

Terran equipment on a Osaka. Again, Foundation Green paint on the ship itself, but the surface elements standing out in stark white.

The game has been moving towards giving each faction unique assets. The Split, Terran, and Boron factions have had completely unique equipment modeling since their introduction, and recently construction ships were redone to have faction-specific models. Ideally, shapes and silhouettes should be the distinguishing visual cues, rather than just color. But I understand that the latter requires much less development resources to accomplish.
Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.

I was just about to ask the same.
it really annoys me when i have a Terran ship for example with its bright white shields and turrets, but i cant have a white ship to match it. I think we need a option to make the modules all in shipcolors or grey or something neutral.
Would really make a big difference.
