At the moment, there is no adequate way to deal with torpedoes, the ship can still shoot countermeasures that knock down the aim of torpedoes for a couple of seconds, and then that's it.

I tested a torpedo bomber unit (6 chimeras (2 star pilots) with x5 torpedo launchers), they destroy any destroyer in a clean space with 1-2 runs

Chimeras did not attack synchronously from one side and far from always fired from 5 torpedo launchers at the same time...

even in the event of an attack by a pair of torpedo fighters with one torpedo launcher, the destroyer cannot defend itself against torpedoes!

Conducted a test on Barbarossa, it was attacked by 12-18 syndicate fighters, 3 had 1 torpedo launcher each. on barbarossa, all M turrets had machine guns in missile defense mode. torpedoes were intercepted very rarely.

as an option, you can make beam turrets as a missile defense system by increase their accuracy and balance them with reloading so that in small quantities missiles / torpedoes can be intercepted without problems. and add additional slots for missile defense (only) turrets on ships.

This will additionally reveal heavy swarm missiles, which can be used to overload missile defense systems bay launch them in tandem with torpedoes =)

I also suggest making AI a torpedo bomber profession (4-6 heavy fighters squad with torpedo and rocket launchers) that will only be under the command of aircraft carriers, this will make aircraft carrier groups more dangerous for large ships and stations.

And add missile and torpedoes to xenons! There is discrimination! Everyone has and they don't
