I love the backgrounds we've seen so far. I don't know about art, but this background reminds me of X3 in a way the XR backgrounds usually didn't. And the planets are absolutely top notch.

There appears to have been a, uh... minor incident at this here station. Great showcase of the destructible-by-module mechanic. I wonder how we go about restoring or tearing down destroyed modules...

Going even further back in time, this background resembles the style of all old x games, from BTF to Terran Conflict...It really impresses me that they succeeded in touching the spirit of the X-line while still keeping the game modern and improved over the old.MegaJohnny wrote: ↑Fri, 19. I do not think it was the stove, i think I see where the fire started.

Very nice, in the next shot in keeping with the latest pictures theme of Destroyed stuff, can we perhaps get a shot of a ship being destroyed?
It would be very cool to see if ships have similar damage effects to the ones Rebirth had, where ships turn into a spectacular firey mess before eventualy explodeing, leaving nothing but the hulk of a once proud ship.

I just keep looking at these wonderful scenes and can't help thinking that I want to survey all the asteroids to find some hidden gems to mine and sell for a pretty penny

I hope that stations will not rebuild in seconds when you're OOS - that's one thing I hated in X-Rebirth - IS ships and stations repair in ages, but when you leave in OOS the are fully repaired in seconds.
Re: Screenshot of the Day
I think they fixed this since the universe wouldn't be so dynamic otherwise.

They are supposed to be fully destructible. So once destructed i guess they can't be repaired anymore ?
I also wonder if they implemented recycling of space graveyards.

But you would still have to destroy multi-module station in one go - whoever tried to destroy station in XR mod CWIR knows the pain (terrible pathfinding for capship trying to engage station).
