It's as if the posters were told to make screenshots in weird angles by purpose. Like the previous paranid fighter, the corvette from earlier, the one where you can barely see a ship because it fully blended with the station and someone had to crop it out....

Still think it's a ship docked to the constructor. The underpart is the construction thingy we saw earlier and it didn't have the upper part attached. Moreover NPC stations don't have this constructor part so at some point they get removed.

I think Kentraar is chuckling somewhere.

It looks almost exactly like one of the station modules from X Rebirth, whose name I can't remember right now, so it's part of the station haha.

Nice looking view!!

Maybe it's a tractor vaissel to move stations… Would love that 8)

Definetly no superposition between up and down… Even with a closer look… Seem to be a station's module...

Shop until you drop, or at least until you feel the urge to fly away :)

Teladi offers anti-drop safety device for the concerned shopper... at competitive rental rates, of course!

The Teladi are known for creating a standardized currency, ship insurance, and insurance fraud.

The station textures and models are much 'neater' in X4, a great change. In XR they could sometimes look a bit 'busy', even though the game generally looked really good.

Is it me or do the textures even look a bit better than previous screenshots?

Yes they are… Even zooming in, the clustering is less… good config that took this one!

I wish these screenshots would show more UI features, more menu options, trade interfaces, etc, instead of pictures of ships and stations. I saw one screenshot out of these that was like that, but more of these type would be much more of interest to me.

@ Falcrack: I think you will find that these screenshots are intended as tasters/teasers, as displaying wow-factor game and model artwork and as something to keep you happily occupied while you wait for game release. The fact that you can all speculate about them and maybe even glean the odd bit of hard game intelligence from them is probably more of a side-effect.

Hmm, in theory is is possible to hold atmosphere with just the force field, but I'd shit my pants just thinking about power drop and malfunction.
You could avoid it with proper safety and redundance, but this kind of technology is not "fail safe", but "fail deadly" and we all konw shit happens (Chernobyl, Fukushima, Terraformers/Xenons, Teladi saving on the spare parts and maintenance crews).

Call me conservative, but prefer good ol' glass and steel.

I would be more happily occupied seeing more text and less graphics TBH!

(Apologies for the image sizes, I didn't know they would be so big)

I'm a derp. Looking through the screenshots, I noticed that this

Is this seen from another angle (the first image possibly being earlier in construction):

Plenty of Teladi domes, that's for sure.
