Re: Screenshot of the Day
I like this ship, think the Cerberus could be my favorite combat ship.
Re: Screenshot of the Day
It is not the Cerberus... that ship looks different

Re: Screenshot of the Day
I'd imagine that would be what I see from the cockpit from it's location on the screenshot. So you just proved it's the Cerberus I think.Geek wrote: ↑Tue, 20. Nov 18, 20:39It is not the Cerberus... that ship looks different

Re: Screenshot of the Day
Er, no. There is a much larger distance between the bridge and front of the ship in the Centaur.
The Cerberus also has 4 front guns, as you can see on the HUD... where are they ?

Re: Screenshot of the Day
I'm like 90% sure that the ship from screenshot and the ship from your video are the same.
It is for sure not Centaur, nor Behemot - so it's either Cerberus or Minotaur.
This doesn't look like missile ship, so Cerberus is a safe bet.
Re: Screenshot of the Day
P.S. Is it just me or X4 capship seems to have A LOT less turrets than X-Rebirth and possibly even less turrets than X3.
This one looks like frigate with 6 turrets + 2 front gimbal mounts. I think that X3 Cerberus had more guns.

2-2 guns have different icons, 2 pairs. My full answer here you go:

Not capital, it's an M ship, Skunk size.
The Behemoth has about the same amount of hardpoints as other L sized combat ships in XR. (Balor, Light Sul) In the recent gameplay video you can see next to the large to turret a large shield generator and next to it another smaller shield generator with 2 unused hardpoints on each side, which are undoubtedly mirrored. So confirmed weapons are 2 large ones top bottom (bottom one we only saw the fire coming from), 2 frontal canons, 4 small or medium turrets on top. That's 8 total without seeing the bottom of the ship which likely includes another 4 smaller turrets which brings it to 12. The Balor had 8 turrets and 4 missile launchers which is also 12.
The Light Sul and the Stromvok had similar numbers, the Heavy Sul and the K are the only L ships that seem to have more.

Re: Screenshot of the Day
2 & 3 are turrets, so no.
The Cerberus also have 4 turrets on top of the 4 guns btw.

Re: Screenshot of the Day
They look the part but I think they aren't. We know weapons can gimbal, large frontal weapons need platforms to do that, so they might look like turrets.
And the rest of the picture speaks for it self. For God's sake you can see the top of the shield generators in the exact same spot in the video.
And you can see 2 behind slightly to the side of the cockpit, one getting shot at...
Re: Screenshot of the Day
No, turrets have a very different look from front guns.
Here are medium turrets, and the beam model is exactly that of the screenshot.

Re: Screenshot of the Day
The ship in the picture is clearly an M-size Argon frigate (by X4 classification): Argon insignia on the side of the ship, two large forward guns with a handful of turrets, landing pad for S ships.
In X3, the Teladi corvette was called the Osprey. In X4, the Teladi frigate is called the Osprey.
In X3, the Argon corvette was called the Centaur. Assuming it follows the same format as its Teladi counterpart, X4's Argon frigate will be called the Centaur.
That's conjecture, of course. Until we know what its name is, it'd probably best to just call it the "Argon frigate."

Admitting you have a problem is the first step in figuring out how to make it worse.
Re: Screenshot of the Day
Thanks but how do you know it is called the Cerberus? I can't see the Name on any of theseX-Raptor wrote: ↑Tue, 20. Nov 18, 21:54Screenshots for the Cerberus: Screenshot #1 | Screenshot #2 | Screenshot #3 | Screenshot #4
Personally I would rather bet it is the centaur but I don't know.

Re: Screenshot of the Day
I'm very very curious how can such a big door(elevator) be installed on such a small ship?

You know these smartphones today? About 10 years ago, no one could imagine a phone so tight-packed with features while still remaining usable.13913408324 wrote: ↑Wed, 21. Nov 18, 00:37I'm very very curious how can such a big door(elevator) be installed on such a small ship?
Yeah, the dockping port does look weird, but I'm sure the animators have overseen the docking bay's true size compared to each ship and it doesn't break the technical proportions.

Re: Screenshot of the Day
My question: can ships exposed on a pad in this manner be damaged/destroyed?
Also, please excuse me while I play some appropriate music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWzQkhLQYr8
The Teladi are known for creating a standardized currency, ship insurance, and insurance fraud.

Re: Screenshot of the Day
I really hope so! Though maybe there'd be a shield generator covering the hangar bay to help prevent that? Still, would be really nice to just nail someone right as they're launching.ZombiePotatoSalad wrote: ↑Wed, 21.
