this sounds like subnautica's creative modeSkeeter wrote:A cool challange idea i think could be to mod a ship so its speed is ludocrusly fast, something u can see in front of you a little bit. Make it so it can cross a sector in about 1 minute without seta on. And take the fans on a tour of the universe so people can enjoy all the nice backgrounds, the different music, different races and stations by flying past em quickly. See if you cant wiz around the whole x map within ur allotted time. Maybe if going too quick u can take time to do other requested things. No jump drive tho.
What do you think?
i'll be looking forward to see the next stream.
On a side note, i personally think an event driven menu's are much better over object-based. I'd hate to see people struggle like for example

What could be cool for an X3 stream is a series of staged battles between two sides. Have save games set up where fleets are approaching each other. The battles could be made progressively more challenging. It could be a competition between different players, seeing who could win the battles with the fewest losses.
To simply play from the beginning would be kinda boring. The game has a bit of a slow start, and and it is most fun for the person playing, not necessarily watching.

I would like to suggest to search for the XFF - X Universe Fleet Fest. You will not be disappointedFalcrack wrote:What could be cool for an X3 stream is a series of staged battles between two sides. If the 2 Devs on stream get clearance to chat about what them both are working on or responsible for during x4 development then that would be great to chat about, granted if it's not 100% certain it's going in or finished they probably can't talk about it but there might be things they can of course that's already in the build there up to. Do u think it's possible @devs?
I'll just c&p a quote from page 1

So maybe ask interesting stuff? Say for example, what type of pizza they like (I know they'l take any pizza, but its polite to ask), how much pizza is required to code the HUB Plot. How long does it take to get pizza? You know the REAL questions!Xenon_Slayer wrote:Sure, you can ask but I can't say we'll give much more info than what is already out there. We'll probably collect some of the unanswered X4 questions for the next X4 QA stream.

Do a 'protect the caravan' mission.
You each start with a simple mission, escort a convoy of freighter ships from one system to another (travelling through say 10 sectors in total). Scripted multiple ship attacks.
Each member of staff has 100,000,000 (100million) credits to spend on there custom fleet that will provide escort for this convoy.
Whichever staff member who keeps the most freighters alive wins a £500 bonus for the month (don't scrimp on the exchange rate either!)....I'm feeling generous.
I think this would be good fun, but also it would really help to direct the team on advancing fleet controls and what works and what needs improving.
I might also point out that due to my more than generous offer of a £500 bonus for the winning staff member.....a free copy of X4 for the winning idea would also be suitable

Skeeter wrote:Would have liked to maybe see a stream of each X game played from a Dev and talk about the progression between em, what worked and didn't between each next game etc.
So would have liked a xbtf one first. But. It's something to watch, I'm sure it will be interesting.
