Couple of additions I would like to see

1 - Tougher enemies - it seems most enemies (certainly in the early game) are way too weak.

2 - Would like to be able to see what speed a target ship is doing in the information display when you target it.

3 - I would like for my ship to carry on moving when I am looking at the map , or other info , or when I am out back with the crew - I used to play Silent hunter a lot and always liked the fact that my uboat would always be on course, it adds to immersion.

I'm currently doing checks and balances on my own home-baked mod that makes the Skunk a LOT less capable in combat, without significant upgrades.

Mainly I'm reducing its shield strength to a fraction of what it starts as, as well as increasing ALL weapon ranges and the cruising speed of all S-class ships (Skunk included.) Fast enemies are harder to hit. :)

I'm going to look at nerfing the Skunk's weapon damage output but honestly I think THAT is balanced fine - it's mostly that the Skunk needs to be more fragile and have more trouble hitting its target.

Following that I'm looking into cranking up the number of fighters that spawn in a fighter squadron - right now it seems like 1-3 will spawn for a single squadron, I want it to be more like 2-6, or more. In addition I'm going to try to give ALL capital ships a reliable fighter escort wing - two or three for trade ships and miners, and more than that for military ships. That should make combat more of a challenge, and give player-operated warships something to do. :)
