Ownerless ship bugged

I spoke with the dev running the Egosoftofficial (said it might even be their fault lol) account through Cohhcarange's stream about this issue but they said I should still submit a bug report about it.

I think I found a bug involving capturing an owner less ship ship. I found an ownerless ship however I spent about 30 minutes flying around it in my space suit (with scan mode on) and have been unable to find the entrance where you claim the ship. The ship is a Cerberus Sentinel, looking in the encyclopedia it is considered a frigate. I also tried to do the boarding tutorial nearby it just in case but it kept telling me to fly near a capital ship. I noticed the ship while I was doing a part of the plot mission to escort a mercury out of Black hole sun. I am pretty sure this ship isn't part of the mission, I was just in the area near it during the mission.

I noticed the tutorial doesn't really cover this, and the good folks on the unofficial Discord helped me. Try having marines on your ship, then fly close to that ship in yours, and then right click and "claim" it. That's what the "claim" command is actually for, since with S sized ships you know you'd just hack the door. But for corvette/frigate/M-class, you're actually needing to send marines in via "Claim", but not "board"

got some problems with the claim though... My marines never managed to get on the ship, floating around endlessly. I can't seem to be able to recover the marines either.

I did manage to capture the ship (a gorgon) by repairing a data leak on it with my space suit. My marines are still floating around even after I ordered them to dock on my new ship currently piloted by me

its caused by the rubbish pathing. if you wanna capture something with a marine just fly right on top of it so your ships docking bay is atop the ship you wanna capture and sent the marine then. it will bump right into the ship and capture it

I assume there nothing to be tp regain the marines stuck in bad pathing?

though I can't joke on their pathing... my degree of control over the space suit looks a lot like theirs... were it not of the temporary no collision damage we have, I'd be dead most of the times I'd need to do some space walks.

no, there isnt, i was trying to make them docking for hours , but they just die at the end...
